What are they, 4'6"? Who has room for more than an 8" sub behind their seat?

well it depends how you like my music, i do not like my bass over powering my highs & mids. i like the stage to blend in real well and have each speaker dedicated to a certain frequency range. that is why i am planning a 3 way active sound stage with a dedicated 12" sub.

the w7 is rated as a sql sub, you can get pure sound quality (SQ) subs or pure sound pressure level (SPL), i wanted a mix SQL. so when i decide to really crank it up while i have my windows down it is still crystal clear.

Those are JL Audio's new shallow mount subs. They are only 2.5" deep. Still, that seat has to be pushed pretty far forward to make those fit.
