Default The Start to my Audio build **finally done now.

Pioneer DEH-P6000UB CD Receiver
Good head unit but the controls are insanely confusing. Also, The USB port doesnt work with a Microsoft Zune.

Infinity Reference 6022i 6 1/2" 2 way Speakers
Great sounding speakers... cheap too

This is just the start, Next I'm installing Infinity 6x9 rears and putting a Kicker sub where the OEM sub goes. I don't want a **** load of pound, just real clear good quality sound.

get a cheap thumb drive and use it instead. the Pioneers will play WAV or MP3 files from the thumb drive.

This is a good reason to read the factory owner and installation manual before purchase.

You might have dodged the bullet though. Check section 5 of the owners manual:

Using the AUX source

Up to two auxiliary devices such as VCR or portable devices (sold separately) can be connected to this unit. When connected, auxiliary devices are automatically read as AUX sources and assigned to AUX1 or AUX2. The relationship between AUX1 and AUX2 sources is explained below.

About AUX1 and AUX2

There are two methods to connect auxiliary devices to this unit.

AUX1 source:

When connecting auxiliary equipment using a stereo mini plug cable Insert the stereo mini plug into the input jack on this unit.

For more details, refer to the installation manual. (Click)

This auxiliary device is automatically set to AUX1.

AUX2 source:

When connecting auxiliary equipment using an IP-BUS-RCA Interconnector (sold separately) - Use an IP-BUS-RCA Interconnector such as the CD-RB20/CD-RB10 sold separately) to connect this unit to auxiliary equipment featuring RCA output.

For more details, refer to the IP-BUS-RCA Interconnector owner’s manual.

This auxiliary device is automatically set to AUX2. You can only make this type of connection if the auxiliary device has RCA outputs.

Selecting AUX as the source

Press SRC to select AUX as the source.

If the auxiliary setting is not turned on, AUX cannot be selected. For more details, see Switching the auxiliary setting on page 30.

Setting the AUX title

The title displayed for the AUX1 or AUX2 source can be changed.

1 After you have selected AUX as the source, use MULTI-CONTROL and select FUNCTION to display TitleInput "A".

2 Enter a title in the same way as the built-in CD player.

For details concerning operation, refer to Entering disc titles on page 18.

Using the external unit

External unit refers to a Pioneer product (such as ones available in the future) that, although incompatible as a source, enables control of basic functions with this unit. Two external units can be controlled with this unit. When two external units are connected, the external unit is automatically allocated to external unit
1 or external unit 2 by this unit.

Basic operations of the external unit are explained below. Allocated functions are different depending on the connected external unit. For details concerning functions, refer to external unit’s owner’s manual.

Selecting the external unit as the source

Press SRC to select EXTERNAL as the source.

Are you trying to tell me that i can put a double male headphone jack in the back and run Aux? I knew that, I'm trying to make my Zune direct USB plug in to work.

I noticed that just about all of the after market head units, regardless of brand, only support ipod. It's the programming in the unit.
HiFiSoundConnection.com sells the Zune Core Pack for your car. You can get it for around $40.00. It comes with the core unit, which hooks up to the AUX port (RCA l/r/vid out) through a 3.5mm a/v jack. It also has a feature that lets you hardwire it or use the lighter adapter. You can charge AND play through the Zune plug with out having to use the headphone jack.

No, It's a base. Everything was custom built by a shop in Moreno Valley,CA. If you want to do something similar I'm sure a local shop could do it if you show them the pic.

I didnt touch the factory sub area. Those 6x9 Kappas are installed in the rear side of the fenders, there is a pocket there. I can get better pics if you don't know what I'm talking about.
