7 hrs total install, its a dvd, gps, rear camera, ipod control, bluetooth, windows based media player, with all the add-ons it took a long time to wire

as you see i did the trim in 2 pieces, for various reasons the main being if i need to take deck out again it is alot easier.
there is some fine details to do yet before i finish the trim.
sorry for the garbage photo.

Nicely done! Just out of curiosity, what head unit is that? I like the removal of the ash/coin tray, passenger side air bag warning light and cigar lighter. Keeps your vents and climate controls in place.

thanks.
the unit isn't released yet but im told there gonna be dirt cheap like around 200$-300$ has no branding. (tho in the hard drive there is pioneer logos).
what most impresses me is the gps i was amazed it actually had new roads on it that my previous systems couldn't / wouldn't update.

very nice, wish I had the skill to make something like that happen.

I do have the money though, if you ever decide to sell your work

it just takes a little nerve but once you start you will realize it isn't hard at all.
now a days head units are usually plug and play or can be with a wiring harness

Hey guys I became member few months ago. But its my first post to the forum. My name is Ali and I'm from Istanbul/Turkey. I bought my 04 crossfire about 3 months ago. I am really interested in double din head unit kit especially the one that has alpine logo on the steering wheel. If there is someone who can do it I am willing to pay about 200 bucks for it and if it could be shipped to Turkey or New Jersey.

Eid Mubarak, Ali!

Sorry to say the kit is no longer available. The board member who tried to make the parts has not been heard from in some time. A few people tried to use the parts he sent but had problems due to poor quality.

There are many ways to prototype (make mockups) these days. Unfortunately, prototyping is not the same as doing the engineering work for an item that will really work in Antalya (or Arizona) in the summer

Sorry Alli. I have no skills in fiberglass, and I am already commited to travel plans in the Western Hemisphere the rest of the year.

You might want to buy a console, take it to someone who builds boats in fiberglass, and explain your idea.
