Default 2-Din Head Unit Kit

So I have been looking around on this forum for a while now and I have see a few of you have 2-Din Touch Screens installed.

I was wondering if anyone know how I can get my hands on a 2-din Center Console.

I know I saw a guy on here who has an Avic-f90bt in his dash. but I cant figure out how how did it. I am not a fiberglass handy type of guy so I am looking for to buy a console already done. If any one can point me in the right direction that would be great.

Thanks

Each console was custom built. There is no one offering an off the shelf kit. The other alternative is a "pop-up" head unit. That is the route I took.

This is one of the setups we made for Jonny's car but you're not going to find one of these cheap as there are many many hours put into them.

RCompart and JohnnyAngel04 are the guys who did it. They made some of these about a year ago, but I do not know if they will make them anymore. They are definitely the guys to talk to about it, as they are the only one who has made more than one of these...and yes the Alpine one is a one-off, made by Alpine specifically for that car. None others.

While I appreciate the comment, these were something both jonny and I did so I can't take all the credit.

Nice set up Rudy, love the relocation of the window, spoiler etc. switches.

How much would it cost to have this done, and where? I have the bank to spare.

This has been on my mind as a future product.. If the interest is there it can easily be done. PM me if you have interest. I would consider one-offs or full production

Not to burst your bubble but this is not something you're just going to walk into. I wish you the best of luck but all the overmolds on the parts needed will really make your head spin. Doing these in house, we couldn't make money on them. If you want to try your hand in it, be my guest but unless you can hit a $300-$400 price point, don't expect to move any volume and they have to me top notch as you'll be starring at it the whole time you're in the car so when I say top notch, I mean it. Good luck with it and hope you can do it.

All I am talking about is a new trim piece to support a double din. $300-$400 is outrageous for that. Im thinking more like $150 or under and thats including the trim for around the cup holder area too. Im not sure why you were unable but I know I certainly am. Quality will not be an issue

I have taken plenty of heat from you in the past so I knew Id be hearing from you on this one too

You just need to be aware that there is some cutting required to fit the larger unit into the console.. so you wont be able to reverse it. once its in it in. But it will look BAD A**!!!

I'm not ever trying to give you flack, just constructive criticism and if you think it's catching heat from me, then my apologies. All I'm saying is I've done this before and I've found that some stuff is easy, some stuff is hard and some stuff makes building the pyramids look like a walk in the park. With all the time and money I put into building these with Jonny, I can assure you that unless you're privy to some pretty fancy equipment, these are not going to be easy but good luck and prove me wrong.

idk, building the pyramids was just short of a miracle. the fact they were that aware of the use of pulleys is amazing

I hear you there but when you're working with 4-5 piece molds so you can recreate everything you need to keep the thing from flying out of the dash when you floor it, it sure makes you re-evaluate the term hard.
