OEM Speakers
Hey guys. Unfortunately somehow I've got a blown front and rear speaker. I don't want to worry about buying too powerful of speakers or having to modify anything, plus I'm on a budget, so I'm just going to get the originals. Would someone be so kind as to point me in the right direction to get some new OEM speakers (the Infinity system)?

I'm not a stereo guy (or electrical for that matter), so maybe it's best if I explain what they're like. Maybe these are repairable, or maybe they can point to a bigger problem. Bare with me here:
With the rear speaker, the foam around speaker (diaphram?) has completely deteriorated. Maybe it was the (Florida) heat that did this? Not sure why it did that though. On certain bass frequencies it essentially sounds like... farting. Not sure how else to describe that one.
With the front speaker, it basically sounds like if you put a bunch of rocks in a paper cup and started rattling it around. However, it has not deteriorated like the rear speaker and I could not really see anything physically wrong with it. This one makes the noise much more frequently than the rear one. I was thinking maybe something was loose, but it was as snug as could be in the door.
The rear speakers started to go early this year, and the front one went a few weeks ago.

As for the rear speakers, I've been thinking of just stopping buy a store and picking up something new. But I have two questions:
- Is it necessary to replace both speakers if I'm buying from a different company? What if I were to buy a new speaker that matches the specs of the infinity?
- Which brings me to, what are the specs of the Infinity rear speakers? If my research is right, they are 6.5 inch, 180w, 2ohm. Is this correct?

I'd just go to a store like bestbuy and they'll help you out with what you need. It seems like Stereos and Speakers are the only things that have gotten cheaper over the years.
Well I can just say that it is hopeless to find new subwoofers for our cars. If keeping the infiintiy amplifier you need a 6.5", 2 OHM, 2 VCS subwoofer. Kicker and Earthquake makes some if I am not mistaken. I just ended up buying the only 2nd hand set available in my area.
