Default No sound from Radio/CD Player

Can anyone help the Chrysler display appears when the radio/cd player is switched on but when the display comes up for either the radio or CD player I have no sound. I had a flat battery recently and had to charge it not sure if this would have anyuthing to do with it or not. Any ideas?

Check all the fuses related to the radio. There should be three.

I think there are two radio and one amp fuses under the hood and one fuse on the back of the radio itself.

I have checked the fuses under the hood on the driver's side not sure where the fuse for the amp is. Do you have to have special keys to get the radio out

Do you get any sound at all? Any "pop" from the speakers when you start the car up? What do you drive? The limited has an amp that has been known to fail, but as I recall only one side would go dead. I didn't bother trying to fix it on mine - I swapped out for a Blaupunkt HU and an Alpine amp - solved all my problems, gave me better sound, and added an mp3 player.

You need these. You can find them just about any good auto parts store, or even Wal-Mart.

Old thread but I just lost sound on the CD only. AM/FM works fine. CD loads and tracks fine. Is the #23 for the CD only?

Nope, for the radio - afraid your CD is dead, means replacement or aftermarket head unit.
You wanted bluetooth for the IPhone/IPad anyway, didn't you ?

HINT: Look for marine head units, they often are available in matching silver.

Example : about $250 for the Clarion M309 with BT adapter from Sonic ...

You WILL have to also purchase an adapter harness and an antenna adapter cable.

Kinda what I thought. Seldom listen to CD's, like my Sirius/Xm. Time for a new head unit.

Just to clarify and cover all the bases :

Fuse 5 is the switched power to the radio
Fuse 8 is the 'hot at all times' to the radio
Fuse 23 is the switched power to the Infinity Amplifier
