Default Stereo problems Infinity

The original stereo from Infinity is in the car.
On the stereo's display flashes the text "Chrysler". Many dealers I talked to has never heard of the problem, they think I'm going to push in a code. But none of the stereo keys respond when you press them, but the text "Chrysler" will flash on.
The error occurred the first time when I would start the car the first time after winter. It has not been run on all winter so the battery had discharged. Now I've had the battery on charge. So the battery is fine now.
I have also checked all fuses and they are also okay.
There was a car dealer who told me to disconnect the negative pole of the battery and leave it for 10 minutes to reset the unit. I have done this. But the text "chrysler" continues to flash.
Does anyone know the problem I would be very grateful for some help.

My bet is the battery is done. What is the voltage on the battery with the car turned off?

Thanks for your reply. I'll see if I get hold of any machine I will measure the battery.
But I can run down the roof and up again with the engine off. So the battery can not be completely empty. For I assume that it takes a little power when doing this.

I am having more or less the same problem as you, just started this morning. Battery on mine is fine, changed it two weeks ago. I turn the car on, hit the radio power button, and "Chrysler" shows on the screen. Thats it, no sound, nothing. The only difference between us is mine doesn't flash, it just comes on and stays on.

I've had this happen on a number of different occassions. Usually turning off the engine, taking the key out, re-inserting the key and then starting the car up -- fixes it for me.

Also, when / if you get it working, use the OPT button and scroll through its functions several times and get it back to when the radio function on the LCD screen appear. I've found it could be stuck in some weird non-radio function status as well.

Good luck.

Did any one get a resolution? Mine was stuck in the "chrysler" mode too. I pulled the #8 and left it out for a few minutes and it seems to be fixed. I just hope it not a temporary fix.
