One push for rolling up windows
Is it possible to modify my coupe to be able to have the windows roll themselves up without holding the buttons? I've been spoiled by this new feature and I'd like it to work in both directions. (My old SRT was crank windows and manual locks to reduce weight)
Rudy makes/made? a unit for one-touch roadster top deployment and one side benefit was one-touch windows. Search for a combination of those words?
No it's not. Most of my cars have this feature. In fact, the XF roadster has this feature using the top button. If you press it twice both windows come up automatically.
Mine works just fine .......
That's where I got the idea and I was wondering if the idea could be applied to coupes. Make it so the window switch can do the auto feature in both directions. I would undertake the project myself but I don't know enough about power windows to start the project.
I personally don't see how it's a safety issue. I've never seen someone leave their hand on the glass long enough for it to close on them. Everyone has that "hot stove" reaction. But if it did happen, well, I'm doing the world a little service.

From 530T instruction. Notice the force (current) limiting resistors. No indication that a reverse will occur or that the window will stop but pressure is controled. I will have to check the volvo.
The 530T uses internal resistors to change the amount of force required to drive the window motors. These resistors
are controlled by a group of dipswitches on the side of the module. Some vehicles use very efficient motors
and little force is needed. This would require the switches to be set to a low setting. Some newer imports, such
as Honda Accords and Civics, may require a lower setting. Others use very inefficient motors, or the windows seem
“harder” to roll up. Some examples would be older domestic cars, as well as many full-size pickups. These vehicles
require the switches to be set to a higher setting.
