Quick Help Please
That is 99% correct. The only thing that is incorrect in your statement is that if you use a yellow from one grouping and a mixed yellow from another grouping you won't necessarily just lose sub control, you will not have ANY sound because you won't have a complete circuit. But to keep this from getting too technical, just suffice it to say that you need to keep the twisted pairs in one RCA to make sure you have proper sound and control. Same rules apply to the blue colored twisted pairs.

Thank goodness that I did not unravel the two sets of yellows and so I still have the yellow and mixed yellow sets twisted together. With that in mind, if I go back to your original instructions, provided I do not mix up the wire sets I will be able to separately control the subs?

I see what you're saying, Josh. SrWilliams needs to make sure that he keeps the "twisted pair" of one yellow & yellow/violet going to the same RCA plug and make sure he doesn't use one "yellow (+)" from one pair and the "yellow/violet (-) from another pair and solder them into the same RCA. Same holds true with the "blue" wires.
Good to note. Now I see why you are calling out the pin numbers for the amp so he can make sure he follows the correct color to the correct pin to make sure he is working on one speaker (a + and a -) at a time.
Thanks for clearing that up!!

No, no, no!!! LOL... Just wait for my call. Just because they are grouped together doesnt mean that they are the correct. The pins alternate.
Each Blue and Blue/Brown stripe pair and each Yellow and Yellow/Violet stripe pair represents one speaker. Which speaker or subwoofer, ??? you will figure that out after you solder on your RCA's, so don't worry about that...
I have never been in there to do this, so I have NO first hand experience at it. I will defer to you from here on out in this thread since you have actually laid eyes on the wiring.
Heck - maybe I'll learn something along the way

Sorry about that.

Sorry Josh - I was going by what was in the original instructions:

The main problem is that they used the same color wire for multiple speakers, if you dont hook them up exact then you wont have Fade F-R or side to side.
Basically, never go by bundles, use schematics and pin configuration. Other people have gone through the trial and error side so that we dont need to. Why make more work?
