Default Several slightly unrelated questions

1. Since my XF won't be here for another week, could someone give me the exterior dimensions of the head-unit?

2. Is there a particular brand/color rattle can close match to the center console/dash?

3. Who offers the silver console/dash carbon fiber parts?

4. Unless it is obvious to remove, what would be the key search words for removing the door panels?

180, I think you meant #4 on that reply.
On #1, just make sure you get a '1 DIN' or 'Single DIN' head unit. ( stock unit is 2 1/8 X 7 5/16 inches )

And a footnote to that.. stop in at wally world and pick up the European car stereo removal tools.. you can find them on the forum for a pictorial reference.

Your mostly going to have to look at marine stereo's if you want a silver match up.

Yes, what I wrote sounded pretty lame. What I forgot to add is that it be a how-to with photos. What I keyed in to Search was about the same wording, but the 'hits' were not specific as to where to pry (or not to pry) or remove fasteners(?), what to watch out for, or...

3. There aren't any true carbon fiber pieces for the interior. There are some companies that offer vinyl overlays for all the pieces, usually found on eBay. A few members have also done it with hydro-graphic which seems to be the best process (aside from hand laying some carbon fiber weave yourself)
