Need help finding silver radio options.
I just picked up a 2004 this week, and from my previous vehicle, I am used to my nice double din full featured nav radio.
I like how the clarion marine radios look, and a couple kenwoods would look OK as well. I am really looking for a way of searching for radios with silver faces. I would love to find one with iPod control, as well as HD radio, and if it had a display, possibly even a small nav dislplay, that would be great. I don't like the flip out screens.
SO, anybody have some suggestions? I am more looking for modern features, than pure audio quality/power. (I listen to more audiobooks, than my AC/DC and ZZ Top)

I searched for marine radios and for some reason, most of them are silver. I went with a Kenwood, the silver trim is very close to the Crossfire silver trim. And several different features along the lines your looking for. Good luck
Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a silver radio with Navigation/GPS, or even a display for stuff like album art. And I already miss the HD radio.
Which Kenwood did you get?

Although not silver faced, it does have all the modern features including voice command. But integration would require some work.....

try looking on crutchfield.com website huge selections
KMR-D382BT from Crutchfield is SILVER, has USB AND Bluetooth. Complete control of the radio display color Spectrum via app. Phone hooks up very simply also. Has tools included to easily pull out the old radio. Everything needed to mount cleanly and the silver trim piece closes any gaps. It locks in perfectly and looks beautiful
my wife and my iPhone 12 and 14’s paired and connected in seconds. The sound quality and volume level on our Roadster is exponentially stronger and crisper. I HIGHLY recommend this radio and the 15 minute start to finish installation.

Do you have a photo of the the final installation?
Any issues or installation instructions?

And there are at least two good installation tutorials in this part of the forum. Just click on "Audio, Video and Electronics" above. Take special note of the "Amp is four channel" and "biggest bang for the buck" threads.
ONE SPECIAL NOTE: It is generally better to NOT use the RCA (2v/4v) outputs from the new head, our amps are lowZ input and are designed to be driven by SPEAKER OUTPUTs from the AM/FM head. You can kinda get away with using the 4v RCA feeds, but twice now I've had to fix installs that 'professionals' did where they used the RCA jacks, had a lot of noise in the audio, and told the customer that the 'car was the problem, we cant' fix that, now pay us'.
I had it fixed in 45 minutes by using the speaker leads.
If you have the diagram from the service manual (or one of those threads) along with the install instructions of the new head, it is not bad at all.

thanks for the tip @pizzaguy
I am going to try the YaTour device to get bluetooth and keep the stock head for now. If it sucks I'm going to go with the Kenwood Marine as it looks closest to stock.

I've owned three Roadsters, last two got new JVC or Kenwood heads because the old factory units failed.
And a new head gives you a chance to go four channel (the stop amp is four channel, but the stock head is two channel, which is such a waste, IMO.)
