Default speaker problem?

Driving around last night, I heard what seemed to be a slight rattle from the driver side tweeter speaker. When I put my hand on it, it seems to stop. The sound from the driver side also seems to be a bit off. If I turn up the treble a bit and switch the balance from left-right I can definitely tell that the passenger side comes in clearer.

Has there been any problems with anyone else's speakers? I couldn't have blown them, I don't think. I never really blast the stereo, I think around +20 is the highest I have gone with it. If I take it to the dealer are they just going to tell me any damage must have been my fault?

thanks

Well if it is blown and you have the stock stereo, then I would "expect" it to be covered under warranty. A speaker is not a normal "wear" item.

Good luck

It should be covered. My driver-side sub was vibrating like mad within a few weeks of having my car. It was so bad I couldn't have the radio on. They swapped it out no problems at all.

I hate to be the bad guy and say this, but they will try to keep from replacing it under warranty....

But, the best you can do is raise a hugh ***** about it if they come with the famous service song and dance.

Distortion more so then volume can blow a speaker.

Good luck,
Sandman
