Default Did my CD / RADIO DIE ?

Hey, Before we start ... I did look for other treads here so I wouldn't rehash the same old thing. I found some treads about valves, lifters and such but nothing about the stereo.

I've had my 04 Crossfire for a couple weeks now and been tinkering with it replacing blown bulbs, fuses, fuel cap lots of little things like that to bring up to par.
Anywho, everything has been working fine but as of last night my sound system died. It is the standard Infinity CD system. The radio will light up but now ....no sound on CD or Radio mode only a slight ticking every couple seconds. It doesn't matter if I am stopped, accelerating (not lifters).
Anyone every had this happen to them? if so, were you able to fix it.

Thanks in advance...

I tried ... still nothing. I did get my stereo removal tools today. So tomorrow I'm going to look at those 2 fuses that were mentioned.

UPDATE: Long story short ... the receiver is toast. I'm replacing it tomorrow. On a side note, that fried factory receiver was the source of that annoying "TICK TICK TICK" from the dash noise every 5 seconds.

Buy JVC or Kenwood and you will be happy.

Talking Re: Did my CD / RADIO DIE ?

New update ... (hate audio electronics) So, I went to Best buy, bought a Kenwood receiver. I'm sitting in the bay waiting for the tech to work on my ride ... I got lucky, turns out "Mr. Joe Doe, the Audio Tech" owns a Crossfire. He saved me several hundred dollars. He told me I didn't need a new receiver, wiring harness & antenna adapter. It's my amp that is toast. He said "I can install what you bought but, it's not what you need to properly fix your problem". It seems as if there's a Brother & sister hood among Crossfire owners. (*names may have been changed to protect a good dude)

Are a lot of choices. I like my
Clarion M303 "><i><span style=Clarion M303 " /> Clarion M303 ">Clarion M303
because it does everything I want, integrates nicely into the dash, and has a slot for the mag cell phone holder.

Strange, when I go into edit, the link ID is just there once but when I post it stutters.
