My OEM Siren Batteries Replacement Issue
GraphiteGhost,
I agree with the other comments. The circuit board is toast. The circuit board is a multi-layer board. Without a good board to check your board against there is no way of knowing if circuit runs on either side of the board or circuit runs inside the board are good. There is a very good possibility that some circuit runs are completely gone. Throw it away and purchase a new siren. Keep the new batteries, maybe someone can use them.

GraphiteGhost,
Another comment: Those areas on the circuit board that had gotten hot and look black are another issue. The circuit board is made so that there is no conductivity between circuit runs. Conductivity is through the components mounted on the circuit board. Now the circuit board has burned areas which are basically carbon and carbon, like a resistor, conducts electricity. There really isn't anyway to fix this circuit board.

Sorry but I agree with others that responded. You're wasting your time . . . Buy a new alarm siren . . . You want this part number . . . 2198203226 . . . The new unit will also provide audible "chirps" when you lock and unlock your Crossfire.

There are at least two sirens that chirp you can use, one with a stud as shown in the eBay thread and one that uses a bolt. CLICK
