Hi Johnny, thanks, I noticed that the wiper arms need t be repainted so will do that as well. I have looked at the service manual and got the pages bookmarked for siren removal/install, cowl grille removal/install and washer hoses/nozzle removal/install.

Don't forget to clean the crap out of the drains/leaf collectors on the firewall by the door posts. Take the hose to them and give them a good flushing. I hope you don't find any rust.

Looks like 5101283AA (grommet) is no longer available. What is posted is the superseded number I reference.

I just bought this one off eBay. I will be putting it in either today or tomorrow. I had seen on a previous post this had the alarm chirp for the lock/unlock function. We’ll see.

I bought my escutcheon/cap from my local Chrysler dealer last spring. I think Needswings has them, a little more expensive but he has them. Do the dealer first in this case. Best price if you can.

Based on onehundred80 pdf and his measurements this at Lowe's might work as a replacement any thoughts?

You are asking the wrong guy. I am an OEM guy, if available, for many reasons. To me any stuff like this is junk. It shows, it's not just function. It's cosmetic and functional.

I am as well but if not available then what do you do . I'll try local dealer but was not successful in other parts was more successful in getting discontinued parts from a dealer in Athens, GA but even they don't show them. I'll check NeedsWings.

Ok, so siren replaced with new one and my friend used a vibrating saw (rotary tool) to open up the siren and the attached picture shows the inside. So good thing did not try to replace the internal batteries. I also noticed on the upper cover that it was marked with a date of 03/11, My Xfire is a 2004.

Inside of Siren

Is everything working correctly now?

Hi GraphiteGhost, the new one I ordered was from MB in Daytona Beach, FL and so far it is working fine (installed 05/28) with the chirping sound. So time will tell, as I am not sure when it was produced, cost was $140.
