Kenwood Install info
Yes I do like the look, I see the same unit now for 55.00 and as mentioned has 2 6.5 marine speakers that i can use at the boat. I went with Jvc component for the doors and 2 ways for the rear wall but will do the head unit first with setup as 4 channel. at 55.00 i might buy another just to have a backup. Let me ask, so the watts per channel are 52w per, would you keep the amp or by pass it all together ? I am not a stereo person so sorry for the dumb question. I will be attempting the install soon and will report the results. My other XF I went with a Kenwood marine 772 and it did NOT have the usb or aux inlets on the front but on the rear only and even though the aux is not used much anymore the usb is a charging port so is used. I like them up front. I did like the fact that the kenwood would allow 2 phones to BT, i have friends that always want to play their music in my car for some reason.

Just buy a remote and tape it to the wheel. No more small button problem
I have been trying to pull the stock head unit for days! I stick the metal sticks in the slots but still cant get it to come out so I can replace the head unit. any tips?
show me a picture of the metal sticks.
Since I am back in a XF then I am at the point where I want to upgrade the system I went another direction in this car with the marine Power Acoustik MCD-51B which states its 300x4 channels and it has a silver face. In the 1st car I went with the suggested Kenwood unit. Not sure if I want to wire it as mentioned and turn the amp into the 4 channel setup using the stock amp and speaker which i did in the 1st time or just wire it as a new unit and install the JBL 6.5 component speakers I have for the doors and install the JBL 2 ways on the back panel using only the head units power. Not going to go with the big *** box in the rear with 12" woofers at 58 yo but I do like my music loud and clear since I have lost some hearing most likely due to listening to loud music. Any suggestions ? If need be I will buy a amp to replace the stock one and sell it on flea bay. The Kenwood I went with last time was doubled in price and the review were not that good so I decided to go with this unit since it was less than a 100 bucks and came with 2 speakers I can use at the houseboat. I can return it as long as its before Feb 2021 with free returns so that should allow enough time to know if its a keeper or not.
