The other day I elbowed my mirror switch and broke the dial. I bought a replacement switch on Ebay, disconnected battery replaced it and still I have no power. Checked all fuses for interior/power mirror and still I can't adjust my mirrors. Any suggestions? Thank you
What do you mean you 'have no power'? Pin 6 (pink-red-white wire) of the switch is power to the switch, if you have 12 volts there, you have 'power'.
In Roadsters, fuse 36 feed this as battery power to the switch. In Coupes fuse 6 feeds this but only with the key on. (This is from the 2005 service manual, they moved fuses and feeds around over the four years the car was built.)
The mirror wiring is very simple, it's a fused feed to the switch and the BCM or other modules are not part of it. If you have no power at that pin, I can only guess the fuse was blown during the breaking of the switch or during replacement.
One thing: If you are troubleshooting this without the service manual, you are pretty much wasting your time. You can download the manuals we have (such as they are) here on the forum by clicking here: https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...ollection.html

Thanks for the info. I meant to say that after changing the switch, my mirrors did not move meaning the switch did not work. I have a coupe and will check fuse #6 more carefully as well as the manual.
If everything worked before this and fuse #6 isn't blown I'd bet it is a used, defective switch you got. A search on ebay shows new Mercedes switches that these cars use cost about $39. If you have a multimeter you can check for voltage to that connector that connects to the switch at I guess pin slot #6 that would have a pink/red/white wire running into it per Pizza Guy. With the key in the "on" position delivering power to the connector to that switch, stick the red prong into that slot that is gonna be (+) and then touch the black prong to the inside surround of the cigarette lighter that is gonna be (-). You should see 12V+. If you don't have a multimeter great ones can be had on Amazon for less than $10 and there are more YouTube tutorial videos on how to use them than I can count. They look complex but after ya watch a video on how to use one they are very simple. Here's one for less than $10 with the coupon but ya got to watch a video on how to use it. I'd bet 75% of the multimeters sold are blown the first day when someone sticks the prongs into their household outlet without watching a video on how they should be used. They just shove the prongs in without it being set to measure AC voltage (which is the capital V with the wavy line above or beside it). Any other position and shove the prongs into a household outlet and it's gonna be toast on day 1.

Wow thanks for the clarification. I have never used a multimeter reader but I will order one from Amazon and a new mirror switch. I hope this fixes it as everything else seems normal, given that I have power to the connector for the switch.

Best $10 you'll spend. Great for self-diagnosing and narrowing down lots of electrical problems.
