Got a replacement amp due to water damage, the 2 live Y/RD wires had broken away. Came with pigtails, as I was beginning to start splicing I noticed that the 'new' plug didn't have a blue/green wire at pin 2 as mines did (nor there was a pin inside the plug). Have noticed a few pics online and see that appears normal. All other wires in both plugs are as should be, notice on the wiring diagram there nothing at pin 2?
Is the differences in model/year looms that this is the case?
Best advice I can offer, download the .pdf service manual and trace the harness wiring to find out where that wire went to. I have seen that blue W/yellow stripe used in other cars as a 'ground' but with this car it is only a guess & you should NOT ground it until you research where the wiring diagram (in the service manual) leads it to. Good luck!

If need be you can usually remove the wire in from the old socket and slip it into the new socket.
To do this you slip a thin pin or drill down the front face and push the barb against the wire and pull the wire out from the back of the socket.
There may be one or two barbs, usually you need to open the barbs up again as the material is often soft.
