Removing interior panels for backup camera installation question
Hey Everyone,
I am preparing to install a Power Accoustik Single DIN head unit along with a backup camera I have looked at mounting options for the BU camera and using a frame that mounts behind the license plate seems to give the most centered installation point. My challenge is how to get the wire for the camerainto the car's interior and up to the center console? I pulled a few of the push tabs on the cargo area's rear wall (opposite the license plate) but it seemed like every panel had another panel over lapping it, and with the concern of breaking tabs on 19 year old plastic I figured I would pause and ask if anyone else has done this task prior? Stepper bit is at the ready and I assume a grommet and silicon gel will be best to seal the hole but getting to the hole from the interior seems to be a challenge.
Thanks,
Ned

If u go from the pass side of dash ,, under the carpet.....remove the doe sells(plate,,, under the carpet to the back and in front of the gas tank next to the hump in the back you can send wires up to 1/2 " through the hole ,,, go along the carpet at the top,,, then remove the carpet on the inside of the trunk,,,,,,you will ess a hole in the trunk at the tag light ,,,go through there ,,,,cut a small V in the top of your license plate ,(not too big ,you want your plate cover to cover the V cut ,,,,,,,,,,done
No cutting ,,no drilling just slide the wires through 15 min your done. JIM
