I love our grandkids so much; however, one saw a place to start picking and my antenna is now missing half of black, plastic cover. Can the cover be replaced or do just need to replace the whole antenna?

You can find replacement antennas on e bay. They aren't expensive. Just unscrew the old one, and replace.
Are referring to the rubber base grommet at the bottom of the antenna ? if so $10 at Amazon type this into amazon search field : crossfire antenna base gasket , how to video under that 2. if you need the antenna mast here :
I prefer to replace the entire gasket. It's not hard and you can do it without removing the tail light.
Here's a post on how I did it. The only tool you will need is a 3/4" wrench and something to prop the tonneau and roof up.
Unscrew the antenna mast first. There's a large space where you can access the antenna base nut with the wrench. Unscrew the nut, unclip the wires, remove the assembly clean the fender and reverse the process. LINK to Antenna gasket replacement.
If you are talking about the antenna whip, it screws into the base and you can buy replacement whips on Amazon and other places.
Amazon links are a problem here, so search Amazon for this, this is the one I ordered when mine started to look ratty you can buy the whip for $9.99 or buy the entire kit:
