I could go on and on, but I doubt this car even saw service from this guy. The supercharger looks to have had a rebuilt one installed, so mechanically, there is a question. This guy should take my $5k offer and cut his loses. Other than that, I think car isn't worth the excitement....it's a joke and has been the butt of jokes since it first showed it's ugly head. The fact it has moved from auction house to auction house would worry me first. It has seen more miles on the back of a car hauler than street time...so enough of the "Black, Hacked, Wacked Max... It should have a rebuild title...that is what it is worth...

Sounds like a gunuine pure hatred for this car......I love the enthusiasm

Wow Doc, you know I respect but I have to disagree with you. I thought this car had coth seats but the dealer confirmed it has "leather and suede" which sounds like the most important SRT interior destinction is there. OR now there. Unsafe above 90mph? I doubt it. The wing adds about 80lbs of down force but how much added drag? If it is unsafe then I hope all the SLK n/a and 32 owners have a warning notice on their dash. I have to believe that the Crossfire is more slippery through the air. Maybe We got these wings to bring the drag coefficient back in line with the SLK? Salvage title would be rediculous, the car has no history of any accidents or damage of any type. Lease and repo? Lease doesn't hurt it and the repo hit would be small. Have you considered that a reason this car doesn't sell is becuase potential buyers Google "Black Max Crossfire" which only leads them to this site? If I was the seller I would get rid of the stripes, any mention of Black Max and put some decent wheels on it. As far as value goes it is a nice car for someone preferring the Limited look with the SRT power. My starting offer as I mentioned above would be fair market value minus the cost to restore to original by an expensive professional shop.

I am torn between what Doc and Bob's points are. Doc I can side with the notion of the all the possible issues that we as avid Crossfire owners would be aware of, however Bob has a good point. Start at fair market value and begin reducing for the cost to correct to car.

Not sure what would be the best way to value the car, and nor do I care I have my two.

I just hope that when the car sells the buyer has a full disclosure as to what the car is, its history, and potential issues they may incur.

All photos that I have seen of the car show shiny grey leather seats. They do not appear to be the suede SRT-6 seats with the stitching. Unless a very recent dealer has changed them to the correct seats I would request photos to be certain.

They are N/A seats. None SRTs. Easy to change but I would much rather buy an original SRT, the front baby... the front is so much more aggressive and sexy the wing is another issue but easy to remove.

Audi had to recall the TT when it first came out and PUT a spoiler on it to keep it on the road---The spoiler is NEEDED for sure---Get any lift on a short wheelbase car and you go from driver to a rider quickly. The back end of this car is just TOO clean. The lease car part is not too bad. I bought Acura off lease cars for years and had great ones---The repo is a different story. If someone is not making the payments and letting them slide---you know that are letting the maintenance slide too. Who would take care and love a car that they are not making the payment on? My repo cars were nightmares---way more bad ones than good ones from my 15 years in the business---I just quit buying them---a true "pig in a poke" Also you can have MAJOR damage and it never get on the Carfax---Carfax is a good tool and a great starting point, but I have seen many dealers fix cars that had "clean" Carfaxes that were hit hard---very hard---So be very careful just trusting a report from a company that NEVER saw the car.

You make a good point obout repossession cars, but I wouldn't worry about lack of maintenance on this car too much, with only 25,000 miles on the odometer.
