Default Lowenhart Wheels

So I had an amazing month at work and should be getting a 10K commissions check... the first thing I plan on doing to my car is lowering it with the cup kit and upsizing wheels. I am thinking about 19x8 front and 20x10 rear...

What do you think of these and will they fit - they only come in a mercedes offset in the 5x112.

Those are very nice looking wheels. However, why are you up-sizing them ? You'll have a tire with a sidewall that's so thin, the first time you run over a divot in the highway, you'll have to replace them (cha-ching). The staggered fitment of the OEM wheels are silly from the get-go. This is a sports car (so to speak) not an SUV.

IMHO: 18" all the way around, especially if you plan on lowering your car with some springs and dampers. It will also give you a wider range of tire options.

HDDP, I completely agree. I went into Tire Rack and Plugged in the MB SLK 320, and all the 18's came up. Looks like a perfect fit, but I will use your earlier advice on tire size, etc. I believe that will be the way I go when it comes time to replace the tires. By the way, thanks for all of your advice and information on the site. It is great having someone willing to share so much information, and experience.
