Do you ever feel cheap with your crossfire?

I think it's pretty stupid to base how you feel about YOUR car on who else you see driving one.

Seems like some of you guys get confused...you're driving a Chrysler, not a Ferrari. A lot of people who listen to rap music can afford one.

Yeah but rap music in a Crossfire? That's wrong in so many ways.
I have a hard time listening to pop rock in this car. It just doesn't fit.
I find myself listening to more jazz or classical in this car.

It feels out of place to listen to anything remotely hard in it.

I listen to rap, and heavy metal.

Guess I should sell it. Don't want to make all the other Xfire owners feel cheap.

No matter How Great it is.

You Should receive your Pride, from your Family, Occupation, Belief System, and LIFE!

The two of you that commented on my misspellings/grammar should keep this in mind.
You are a little hard to understand, GTR. People shouldn't be proud of a car that they have? Some people have to work very hard for what they have, and when they finally get something they want, makes sense to be proud of it. How hard did you have to work to get your $40k car? At 18, it's hard to imagine. I guess maybe you DO get some of your "pride" from your family.
This new generation has grown up WAY different than some of us old fogies who had to work hard for all we have. I have 3 of the new generation, my kids, and they don't have the values I had. They get things way easier than I did at their age and it seems to me that they aren't as proud of the things they have when they didn't have to sweat at all to get them. I don't think they are bad kids, things just seem different now.

I think maybe we ARE a little jealous of teenagers that get cars that we are proud of, and they just think of them as another thing to have.(I'm not saying all young people are like that) I got my '05 Roadster in July of '04 and paid $40k. That WAS a lot of money but that's what happens when you want something new before everyone else has it. After a couple years when they show up everywhere, the exclusiveness wears off and the car seems to get a different public personality. That's ok, I still love driving my Roadster and there's nothing like the feeling I get when the top is down and the radio is blasting! I think pride is a good description!!

Well said MI Roadster!!! I also have three but tried to instill some old style values in them but they have more in their 20's than I ever thought of. Maybe I should have bought my toys instead of theirs??? No matter I have mine now and NEVER feel cheap in it. By the way I must say I don't let them play Rap in my XF when they ride (and I do mean RIDE not drive) in it, but I don't care for rap so it's not an option in any of my rides.

Couldn’t agree with you more...my boys are good kids too (for the most part) but they do not understand how or why you need to work to get what you desire in life. Yes they both work but reluctantly and they tend to moan a lot about it. I take a lot of pride in what I drive...take care of it...maintain it...and most of all enjoy it.

I will never feel cheap in the car for one reason. My ride prior to my XF was a dodge neon. I saw girls driving then, seen them turned into ricers, and every type of music has been played in a neon at one point. So from my perspective I can never feel cheap in my XF no matter who else I see driving it or what music is coming from the speakers.

I like rap music, I like all music except country. Again I say how can I feel cheap, this is a $50k car and I've got the only one in my city!

Cheap - never! Proud - always! The XFire is a beautifully designed car; with a body by a fine coach builder; running gear by the company that produced the gull-wing coupe; an American design heritage from Chrysler; all at an affordable price. What more could one ask for? My license plate - ELXR - says it all: It is magic; it turns matter into gold; it makes one happy! This is the first automobile I have been motivated to purchase since buying my 1977 Chevrolet pick-up truck. I feel very fortunate to own this fine car, and I truly appreciate the nods of approval from other motorists. Not on of you should feel cheep because of the actions of others. Drive your ride with pride!
