hey guys
hi guys, i am new here, and i've been reading posts here for ages, but i have a question please. here's the deal, i am getting a white limited auto crossfire coupe next week. its in saudi arabia right now and i live in egypt and we don't have crossfires here, which is good. actually because i'll be the first one in egypt to have it. the BAD news is i've never seen it before in person or even tried it. but am sure that the looks of it will be very good. but my main problem is, that am not sure about the performance and the feel of the power from inside the car.
so i want you please to compare it with the bmw z4 (the 231 hp engine not the new one) because my friend has one of those and i like how it goes. honestly, it feels powerful ,maybe in a drag race the z4 will win i don't know, but that's not the point. does the crossfire feel like the z4 in term of performance and mind you WE HAVE MORE TORQUE.
and i think weights less and when i was reading posts, i see you guys compare the crossfire to the 2.5 z4. come on guys the crossfire can't be that bad right??!
please tell me.
sorry for my rubbish language.

wekla911, sorry to break the news to ya, but your friends Z4 is going to be about a second faster in the 1/4 mile, than your new Crossfire with an automatic. One second really doesn't sound like much, but believe me, a car that almost breaks into the 13's vs a car that runs 15's will definitely feel faster in a "seat of the pants" comparison.
But don't let that bother you. A 15 sec. car that can run 150+mph, and feel secure while doing so is nothing to be ashamed of.
Besides, your new Crossfire is going to look 10 times better than your friends Z4. Just park both cars next to each other in a busy parking lot, step back, and see which one draws the most attention. If that doesn't make you feel good, then nothing will.
I own a white Crossfire, and I love it. I'm willing to bet that you will love yours too.
Good Luck, and enjoy.

I mentioned to my wife once that I was considering trading in my CF. Her reply was "do you think you could REALLY give up all the attention?". This was just after yet another babe told me what a "Nice Car!" it is. So if you want to get some positive attention from the babes, get the CF.

The only downside I have found is the lack and or cost of aftermarket go fast parts.
I like the look of the limited better than the srt6 but I wish I had that motor...someday.
Good luck and enjoy!

I like the Crossfire and the attention it gets. It has enough snap you can pass anything with ease, it is amazing to kick it down at 65 MPH and feel it climb, usually drops 2 gears and you fly by the car you are passing. If you are looking for the fastest sports car out there, this is not, but if you want a fast sports car that will turn heads, you bought the right car!
Hope you're enjoying your crossfire. I just wanted to let you know that there is a thread in the forum about a twin turbo under development for your car, will be ready in next 60 days.
