In both PT's I had I tinted the front sides to match the back side windows. It really messed up the "flow" having two different colored windows. With the Crossfire I'm happy with the factory tint, no need to mess with it in my opinion.

I voted NO in the poll, but have been thinking about doing the tint. I was planning on doing the sides only - not the back. I'm in IL also Eracer but have seen other cars that have tint, and have been sitting on the fence deciding ... I'm leaning more towards the DO IT side.

I would do the back too. That way it takes the intensity off the headlights of the cars/trucks behind you.

Even with the limited window space, this car gets pretty toasty. I think that window tint is necessary on all cars.

It doesn't have to be completely black to be effective.

Llumar makes a full metallic tint (platinum plus).

Looks nice and works great. I just have to cover the front dash. I do not feel that my vision is at all impaired at night.

anybody with a roadster have tint? i just think it would be funny looking driving with really dark windows up while your top is down (i.e. quick interstate runs). another Q, any roadsters with the back window tinted? that would be a pain in the *** to get to i bet lol.

Thumbs up Re: Window Tint

Even though its illegal to have the sides tinted here in Michigan I went with 50% (the lightest available) and it really adds to the look of the car IMO.

35% tint on side glass and rear screen, which is legal limit. A strip across the upper section of the front screen is permitted but not on mine.
