ok guys i was playin around with the spoiler today and i found out that if you put the spoiler up then push down you can actually stop the spoiler in different positions by pushing up to stop the spoiler... is the spoiler designed to do that or am i hurting the motor in the spoiler someway.

Most likely, there's an over current limit switch in the motor control module that stops the motor in case the spoiler gets hung up. It's a safety device to keep the spoiler, motor, fingers or any of your other body parts from getting damaged (your girlfriend wouldn't like that). My advice would be to STOP PLAYING WITH IT....! Otherwise OSHA may require pinch point WARNING labels on them (you wouldn't like that). ...

actually I wouldn't mind a complete override switch so it doesn't pop up at all.

Just pull the fuse... it's in the fuse box on the drivers side. Andrew and a few others have already done it.

Didn't know that but now that I think about it I've seen so many pictures with the spoiler half up... I'm going to have to go play with that some.

You can use the switch on the dash to raise up the spoiler. It has 2 or 3 stop points.

the spoiler always goes UP fully with a single press of the button.

if you're driving less than 10 mph, you have to hold the button down to lower it, and it has 3 pause points; i'm guessing to delay crushing fingers. if you over 10 mph, you can just press (and release) the button and it will retract fully.

I haven't seen 3 stopping points on my wing. It's either up, down or any angle I choose by quickly tapping the switch.

I personally feel they should have at least painted the area that shows when the spoiler is deployed to match the car!

While the spoiler is yellow to match the car, the section under it is black - talk about an eyesore when its up!

On my car, that spoiler makes the car even hotter looking when the top is down...

Not a problem on the graphite Crossfire's.

It matches the paint nearly perfectly... to bad it wasn't clear coated my paints chipping off.

The spoiler does have 3 intermediate points when you close it manually as mentioned. Higher speeds it just closes.

Now I have a question ... How many have watched the speedometer to see when it deploys? The manual says up at 57 mph and down at 37 ... I've watched mine, it goes up around 67 and down at 37. With that said, can it be set, either by the owner or a tech, to open at a certain mph?
