Default Same oil filter???

Yes another oil filter question. Does the SRT-6 use the same oil filter as the "regular" Crossfire? I'm coming up on 5k miles and want to change it now. Another question...no chance of getting the fleece filter in the aftermarket, like at Advance Auto Parts right?

The oil filter is the same for all models.

As for aftermarket fleece filters WIX makes them.

WIX (distributors): P/N 57078 - fleece $16.71
WIX (NAPA): P/N 7078 - fleece $15.89

The price may vary a little with each store. OEM fleece filters
from the dealers sell in the $19.50 range. For a few $$$ more,
I'll stay with the OEM MB filters.

Yeah for a few $$ more I will stay with oem. Buy it from the MB dealer or Chrysler? Or does it matter? Also how do I know it is the fleece filter?

It doesn't matter who you buy the filter from, call ahead and see who charges less... MB or DC.

Follow this link and click on the attachment for a picture of the old paper filter and the newer fleece...
