Where is the best place to buy the chrome switch surrounds and all the other chrome surrounds like the vents and gear box and such.
www.chrome-tec.de ??? Or were, they seem to have the best selection, but the prices are HIGH. Anybody got any other suggestions.

Hmmm... don't know if this would help.

Several years ago, I knew a small place that did chroming work. You could bring or send in pieces to be chromed. Mayhap you can find a place you can take you original pieces to have chromed.

Electric Messiah has a good point.
If you don't want to pay CTD's prices, get stuff chromed yourself.
Hang-out in motorcycle stores - look on the notice boards etc., you'll see some chrome people.
Where are you located?

The last "chrome people" I saw was the guy in T2. J/K, I'm sure if you hit some bike shops they'll send you in the right direction!

As for Spensley question, I live in south central Indiana. As for the bling - bling thing I was looking on e-bay for Crossfire stuff and thought the chrome switch and **** surrounds were a very nice touch to the interior. I e-mailed CTD to see if I could get a price break on like a package for just the consol & up the front of the dash, 10 items in their store. It added up to $352.17, not including shipping, they got back with me and came down to $312 shipped. They said they were basically knocking off $90 I believe. That's still a lot of $$$ for some little chrome surrounds.

You might want to search the forum for Chrome-tec and check there Ebay feedback. I remember someone was upset with them some time ago. I myself have never bought them so I can't really say one way or the other how they are.

Yeah that's a thought, I had e-mailed autoxclusive this morning to ask if their web. site was up yet and if they were going to offer interior chrome trim surrounds. I just got a reply saying that their web. site is scheduled to go online at the end of Jan. 1st of Feb. and they said they were going to be offering chrome interior stuff, I'm guessing like CTD's things.

If anyone knows of a good chrome company I like the info. I have had no luck on finding anyone that was willing to chrome my door handles and roll bars.

Does anybody know of any members that have put the surrounds around the switches, vents or *****? I was just wondering if they made enough improvement to the looks of the interior to justify spending that much money on them.

I was asking about your location as I can get in touch with a chroming guy - does a lot of parts on bikes.
He's in NC though.

You may want to see if anybody is interested in a group buy, and see if CTD will give a discount.

Somewhere in the forum I had seen a thread a month or two ago where a guy said he was talking with a company about a chrome cover for the door handles. If I remember correctly the company or person the forum member was talking with was looking into making a mode. I would really like to get my door handles chromed or covered with a chrome cover, that's what is preventing me from getting the chrome windscreen and side grills, because those silver door handles would be the only silver left on the car. I had even thought about taking them off and taking them to a body shop and having them painted the same color as my car, then buying the chrome piece that goes behind the handle.

I posted a thread awhile back about dealings with chrome-tec.

I would be careful if you choose to do business with them.

Acrispy1, I just sent you a e-mail inquiring about your switch surrounds, it was to your personal e-mail.

Just so you know the chrome tec stuff is die cut chrome plastic with double sticky tape.
Not that that is a bad thing but they are not clear about it in the ebay listings.

I'm looking for my handles to be chromed as well as my roll bars, I'm not looking for the chrome shells they sell. If anyone knows of a good chrome company please P.M. me. I have had no luck in the past few months finding one.

Paul's plating in philadelphia is good, but like most chrome shops that are good they are not fast or cheap...
