Unhappy Help! Check Engine Light

I have been back and forth to the dealer to try and fix my check engine light - always 1 day after they turn it out, it comes back on. On the last trip they found a cable to a fuel injector was kinked, and not making a clean contact, and also upgraded the software - but the light still comes on 1 day later. 4 trips and counting.

I have searched the site for previous posts regarding this, the main appears to be related to the fuel cap, I followed these suggestions to no avail. I would be interested in any suggestions? I can then take these to the dealer.

Many thanks,
Matt

Is it throwing the same code, or has it been 4 different codes? What are the codes that have triggered the light? We need more info to even begin to offer help.

Like danimal says, if you can get some info on which code or codes were logged then it should be fairly simple to establish where the problem lies – that’s the whole point of on board diagnostics. The solution may be more elusive but at least you know where to start looking.
It really annoys me when the dealers just reset the lamp and send people on their way without investigating the actual cause. Their general attitude seems to be that the problem is the light being on, not what actually caused it.

EDIT: Just realized that you are in the UK, if you are anywhere near Leicester I can take a look and hook up my OBD scanner.
