lime green will stand out heh, but not sure you want to go that route.
why change the paint? ours cars have very high quality paint... it is going to cost you a ton for the same quality.

I've dabbed on the two-tone look in Photoshop (disregard the rims).

I took the look of the two-tone from the SEMA Crossfire that's lingering around somewhere. Nothing crazy but subtle and I think it looks classy. Makes it more hot rod like. Could probably take off the fender strips.

i dunno, i like it, but i think i might want something 2 tone or something. i dunno guess it was just a impulse to want to get painted, but i think some customs paints can really make a car if done right, or they can ruin it also.

I was in San Franisco 2 weeks ago and saw an Orange XF (railroad-highway orange) with 2 bikes on a roof rack. I only saw it for a second and then it was over the hill. I was stunned, it was ulgy.

Romio, since your car is Sapphire Silver, why not paint the hood and the tops of the fenders a real dark blue metallic, or just a subtle shade of blue, slightly darker than your car is now. Similar to the way the Datsun 280ZX's were offered back in the late 70's and early 80's.
You could run it along the line just beneath the side glass, and have it come to an end at the trailing end of the rear side glass. In the front, it could follow the "character line" that comes down the fender and runs under the grill.
I've thought about doing this to my car, but it's alabaster, and I think it would be too big of a contrast. Stryfox suggested I do it in silver, and if I had gray seats, I probably would. But since I have a Cedar interior, I'm kind of limited as to what other colors to use.
Good Luck in what ever you decide to do, but remember, the more you "personalize" your car, the harder it will be to sell when you finally want to get rid of it.

so you think it will look good if i get half the front fender painted? because that line does follow to the front, and i think it might look weird having 2 tone on the front. i will photoshop something today if i get a chance.

I think that a repaint on the car is a fine idea, but it needs to be something "classy".

Here is my PS idea . . .

Fupa13, that's pretty much what I was talking about, but just not painting the roof or the windshield surround. Thanks for doing the "Photo Shop", we don't have that program.

don't know how that will look, since there is no hard line below the side widows, the paint will kind of just stop, same way with the back. the hood/fender is nice since its separate panels, but on the back it just all rolls from one curve to another with no real line. so i don't know how it will look if the paint ends on a curve and not a line. when i get home i will take a pic of the rear quarter on a angle and see how i can define the edge of paint. thanks for the PS.

Vesuvius Orange ... I think it's only available on a Hummer. But it sure would stand out.

There is a 2 toned blue/silver X-Fire for sale in Sublimity, Oregon; You can find it on MSN Autos if you search it (has pics) - I haven't seen it up close in person, but it stands out when you drive by it! Looks like they followed the side body sculpting-sets off the vents-and accents the aftermarket wheels.

The paint looks like junk, plus the rear wheels look to be the wrong offset or the tire isn't wide enough.

figured maybe the car was wrecked or something, so they repainted parts of it to cover and ended up with that - also looks like the rims are all the same size (diameter & width).
