Very easy...the door lock pins just unscrew and the new ones screw on...you can just use your hand to unscrew them because they shouldn't be too tight...the radio ***** just pull off...I used a credit card to slip under the radio ***** and pop them off...the new radio ***** have a rubber cap that goes onto the radio shaft and then the new **** just pushes on...very easy to do...

I finished the instrument cluster pins tonight...I made them similar to the door lock pins so they match... I'm having trouble uploading photos, but I will post one as soon as it starts working again.

Here are the pictures of the instrument cluster pins... They go over the black plastic shafts on the instrument cluster. I made them so they push on and stay on, but are still removable so you can take it off to change the clock setting. Or if you'd prefer to make them permanent, a drop of adhesive would take care of that. They match my door lock pins and the radio *****. $14 a pair shipped.

Very nice indeed.

Would you combine shipping charges for orders of two or more of your products? Please let us know if that would be possible. Thanks.

I will be working on new parts in the next couple days, so if anyone has a special request or idea, let me know. I will be working on a polished aluminum e-brake cover and glove box trim so far and maybe a shift surround.

If you make the glove bow handle like you made the a/c rings. that will work real nice. What I mean is it need to have a lip so it's not just a face plate. I have one of those from Chrome-Tech, and I never used it.

You mean a lip so it sits inside the circle instead of just on the front?

Yep, exactly. Otherwise it looks cheap.

I just got the radio *****, the door lock pins, the dash reset buttons, and the AC rings - tough installations, took me about five minutes total for all of them !!! it looks good, but I have the say the biggest difference in the radio ***** is not just the look but the feel - those rubbery stock ***** always felt cheap, the solid aluminum gives a more substantial feel !!! Great stuff.

Chad,

Got the A/C rings today and they are now installed. Have you ever thought of Alodineing them? I will probably treat them with clear Alodine 1001 (haven't yet) that is usually used with electrically bonded aluminum parts on aircraft to prevent corrosion. It will also maintain the chrome-like look that you have supplied. What is the alloy and temper of the aluminum that they are made of? Just by applying a little "flex test" I can tell that they are made from something like 7075T3 or 2024T4 rather than O temper anything. You must have a nice CNC lathe and the education to use it to turn these out. My dad was a master tool and die machinist and inspector (50+ years in the business) before he passed away and I'm pretty sure he would have approved of your fine work. I certainly do! These rings fit up perfectly and the drop of super glue will probably never be necessary in my XFire.

Dave
