Supposedly ran out in November of 2006 on a car that is a 2004 that I bought new in October 2005! Well thats what the dealer I went to today said. Somehow I don't see how their math is accurate. And the brain-e-acks at DC can't figure out why they sit in ports? Who wants a new car with a warranty that has expired before you drive it off the lot! Keep up the good work. Think its time to sell this thing. Granted its a blast to drive but so are my other cars. Glad I purchased the 7 year extended warranty. Hopefully they won't tell me it runs out in 2007! WTF is up with that.

Very odd. I think the problem is the warranty may have been activated by the dealer. Many times they do this when they get the car. That way if there are any incentives they can say the car was sold and get those. I know a lot of Mercedes dealers do this. Then if it doesn't sell in a few months they will wholesale the car and keep their incentive. Kind of crappy for dealers to do this so you should always find out when the warranty activation was on the car. Sorry to keep referencing MBs in my posts. I frequent MB forums a bunch since that is what I like (and they used to own chrysler). remember the crossfire is my wife's car but I like it.

Unfortunately, this seem to be a common practice with some than less reputable dealers. What most likely happened is that the dealer submitted a retail report on the car before it was actually sold to collect rebate money from Chrysler... Your in-service date or start of warranty should have started on the day you took delivery...I would go back to the selling dealer if that not the case...That why dealers have a bad reputation...

A lot of '05s were released to, and titled by, dealers in February '07. That became the in-service date from which the 3/36 is calculated. I've heard Chrysler made the dealers hold them in possession for 3 months before they were to be sold. I have also heard the 2006 models in storage will soon be hitting the dealers with the same deal. They will be dealer titled, so they are sold as used but without the mandatory 3 month waiting period.

One document that you will want to look for is the document titled "Your Personalized Service Contract." It will provide you with the dates your 3 yr/36K Premium Care Plan Provisions were effective and when they expired. Even though the Plan is not part of the factory warranty, the effective and expiration dates should be the same.
