Default Towing Eye Front

I did not get the tool to take off the front grill passenger side to get to the towing hook for towing. I tried a long screw driver but it didn't seem long enough. Does anyone know how long the screw driver needs to be so I can buy one in case I need to be pulled up on a flatbed. I called the local Chrysler Dealer but he was having trouble finding the part in his books. Fore owners the process is explained on page 171 of the owners manual and it also shows the tool. Any help would be appreciated.

I just want to add a "me, too" here. My Limited didn't come with this tool, either. A Mopar part number would be a big help.

The "tool" is a joke.

Just stick your finger in the outer opening in the grill and pull. It pops right out.

For me the tool works real well. My fingers are not that small to hook in hole & pull. My car didn't come with one either, but I knew it should have been packed in the glove box, so when I mentioned it to the dealership they ordered it in right on the spot thru their parts dept. The part # is 1-05140795AA.

This should be at no cost to you since it is part of the customer shpg. pkg. from Germany, or should have been.

Good luck,

I found that thing one day when I was digging in the bottom of the pouch on the rear bulkhead. I had no idea what it was for.

it is also used to aid with the shift linkage if problems occur... in automatic form. tool to be inserted to the left of the shifter (at the small opening).

see manual for a better description.

It's also used as a manual release for the top (in the down position) on the roadster. I guess "multifunction tool" is more than appropriate.

Cool Re: Towing Eye Front

Also check in the area of the trunk where the tire sealant is kept...that is where I found mine.
