How do I check Transmission Fluid level?
I have been using an independent MB shop for my XF. I was advised that a MB with the same transmission recommends service at 40,000 miles. I had the service done at 40k because my plug adapter was leaking, a common problem.

Did anyone notice that the question was not answered in this post ? He/she asked "how" to check the fluid (i.e. parked with the engine running/not running, warm or hot, etc)
Here are a couple of videos.
You will need to buy a dipstick and a replacement red cap for the transmission tube cover. You'll see what I'm talking about in the videos.
