What Red is My Red?
Re: What Red is My Red?
Yes take your VIN number to the dealer as the code is not posted anywhere on the vehicle. Let's see, an '05 Red should be Blaze Red Crystal Pearlcoat...I have an appointment tomorrow morning with a professional to repaint the edges of my doors. Something I should have seen when I bought it but maybe I was blinded by the Flash, LOL!
Your dealer can decode your color from the VIN...depending on the build date it could either be the Blaze Red Pearl or Inferno Red.

Re: What Red is My Red?
I tried the Inferno and it looks different unless mine is faded...which could be since I've been driving so much, LOL! I'm not sure, the dealer told me inferno red but the '05 brochure lists it as blaze red. I assumed possibly a formula change since mine was actually built in May of '04. I picked up a tube of inferno red at Autozone and it didn't look quite right...I feel better having a pro do it anyway and I'm having the lighted doorsills installed at the same time.
Thanks!

Re: What Red is My Red?
Here you go:
Your car was built on March 5th 2004, The in-service date is May 30th, 2005. The color of your car is: Blaze Red Crystal Pearl Coat, the paint code is PRH.
Also you are showing an open recall for the Radiator cooling fan. Code # E19
I hope this helps, and I also hope other people on this forum see that I do try to help out here, not just sell cars.
Thanks again.

Re: What Red is My Red?
We are a 5-star dealer that is SRT Certified, so I can't speak for other dealers. Because of your car not being an SRT-6 it shouldn't be a huge problem finding a dealer, however there is a certification that the dealer must complete to do certain warranty work on Crossfires. This involves having certain training and I'd assume special tools and manuals. I would call around in your area and ask if the dealer is qualified to do recall work. If you have purchased this from a Chrysler dealer it should've been addressed, if not, I'd ask about any prior service records.
