Thanks! So, what is the BDD451A ... A1? That is how my box
is labeled. I had thought that, as the manual is BDD451, the auto is
BDD451A, that it would make some sense if the SRT/AMG is BDD451A1.

So, I wondering if the wrong item was shipped, as I got BDD451A A1 on
the Sprint Booster box label.

Thanks again,

Coyote (the head scratcher)

Got mine, installed it in a matter of minutes, only thing that slowed me down was the washer. Love it, thank you again TVT. Can you make the snow stop falling so I can enjoy the car more now?

Just wanted to update this. I received a replacement A2 version today, and
installed it shortly thereafter. Took the car for a test drive, and found that
when rolling, the lag between pressing the throttle down and actually
feeling the engine engage is almost non-existent. This had previously
been a bit of a problem. However, so far I have not noted any such
improvement when pressing on the gas pedal from a dead stop. The car
does appear to jump forward a bit harder when I press the gas, and does
seem more responsive. So, I'd say this was $250 well spent.

Thanks for all your help in getting the replacment shipped out, Anthony.
I very much appreciate you taking the time to correct the shipping issue
straight away.

INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS AND PHOTO LINK
I just to put together this post in the thread "Sprint Booster Install" because when you do a search it brings up many other threads on this subject. Thanks to all who have posted this information on various other threads.

This post summarizes the info needed for newer members now buying and installing Sprint Boosters.

Here are step by step photos for option 1 thanks to PAULW in this link:
https://www.crossfireforum.org/galler...ry.php?cat=574

Option 1
You need to remove the throttle pedal following step below:
1. Remove the lower nut cap.
2. Remove the 10mm nut.
3. Remove the washer, a magnet helps.
4. Remove the pedal, lift the bottom pulling out and pull it out of the upper bracket.
5. Unplug the tps cable from the sensor.
6. Plug the tps cable into the
Sprint Booster.
7. Plug the
Sprint Booster cable into the tps sensor.
8. Reinstall the pedal assembly.
9. Go for a test drive, you WILL SMILE !!!

Option 2 (No photos)
This is another method of installation :
Remove the kick panel on the console
This is the panel that is to the right of your foot as you sit in the car
All you need is a Phillips screw driver! First remove the screw on the drivers side lower console where the vent is, 1/4 turn; this is a locking screw. Remove the second Phillips holding the lower drivers side console panel. You'll have to do a little removal manipulation of the panel, but it bends quite easily; its plastic! You may have to depress the gas pedal for clearance and temporary removal. Note: Always take note of how things fit a feel prior to panel removal, its just a good code to follow. Look at the top of the gas pedal and there is the plug. Squeeze the sides to release the locking mechanism on the plug. Unplug and insert the SB. Replug the plugs with the SB in line. Replace console side and screw and then the vent and screw and now you are done!

Hi Cali_Boy_4_Ever,

The installation is not difficult procedurally. However, it can be rather
cramped trying to get under the dash. I'm not a large person, at 5'8" and
152lbs, but my chest is still sore two days after doing this job. So, you
might want to put some kind of cushion down across the door frame.

What exactly does this thing do? I have a SRT6. Does this void warranty? Does it throw codes? Is it detectable by diagnostic testing equipment. Just wondering, because I don't want to lose my 8/80 warranty.

Thanks

No warranty problems.
If you're scared, remove it when you take the car to the dealer.

Sprint Booster Power Converters - What do they do ??

All Engines Chrysler Crossfire

Do you want responsive acceleration, quicker gear changes, and overtake with ease?
This is the answer....Sprint Booster Power Converter...
Sprint Booster is a device that improves acceleration by continuously measuring and converting the digital signal providing the ECM (Electronic Control Module) with a new and altered signal.

Benefits:
At low revs, the engine responds at approximately half the time in comparison to before.
 The delay time while accelerating in 3rd and 4th gear and the engine in the mid-range, is almost zero.
 Big differences in the higher rev range.
 Improved response for downshifts and safer overtaking.

Almost all new cars come with fly by wire technology; hence do not have a traditional accelerator cable.
This new type of technology has a big draw back; it has a delayed reaction time and hence needlessly delays acceleration and engine performance.
The really great thing about this product is its simplicity; it does not touch the engine at all or the engine management system. What it does do is speed the signal up from the accelerator pedal to the engine - hence greatly improving acceleration and responsiveness!
Sprint Booster is a small and simple unit, which is very easy to install! - It is simply plugged into the back of the accelerator pedal connection and it is only possible to fit the unit one way!

“The Sprint Booster will be the “smartest” gadget you will fit to your car”.

Thumbs up Re: Automatic Sprint Booster Group buy

Finally, nice enough weather for the install. It took about ten minutes and I have NO mechanical skills at all. No lights or codes and I did not unhook the battery.
In my opinion there is a huge difference in the throttle response. It took me quite a few practice runs to tame the jumping but after that there appears to be a big improvement. The lag is gone and a big jump in response in the first three gears. Money well spent and the fact I could install it myself (thanks to the excellent instuctions provided on this forum) really made this worth the money. Thanks TVT. Would recommend to anyone.

doesnt it just trick the computer into thinking its at wot at a lower pedal position than actual wot?
