Considering I read that dealers are still pushing never-titled 2006s and 2007s, I suspect 1,100 cars is more like a 5 year supply. Good news for first time buyers because of the deep discounts. Not so good for current owners. Of course, at some point there will be no more new Crossfires to be had and then the price stabilizes.

The only problem with depreciation is if you plan to sell the car later. If you bought it as a keeper to enjoy, who cares if it is "worth" $15k or $50k.

Goldwing, hitting 100 almost once/day I'm averaging 23.5 mpg. What kind of mileage does the SRT6s average?

Hangman, that does look sweet! P.S.; you don't happen to work for the Texas prison system do you?

A co-worker just told me that he saw an advertisement for never titled 2006 Crossfire Coupes for $17K this week. At that price, I'm tempted to buy a spare. I checked the dealer's website, but there was no mention of the deal. If I find the link or more information, I'll post it.

It wouldn't shock me to see a "Base" Coupe advertised for $17K....a base coupe was (I think) a few thousand below a 'Limited".....the sticker on my 07 Limited (with destination fees) was just under $36K & I gave $23K....the dealershipnow id offering $15K off....so I suppose a base coupe 06 -stick could have a stickerof only 30-32....15 off 32 = $17K. ......It would be nice to have a spare....

If that's the same ad that I saw, the lease was for a 2008 Crossfire Limited Convertible. Sheesh. They can't even get the name right. Did they even make any 08 Roadsters?

It turns out that the advert for the $17K Coupe was a print ad. The dealership wasn't foolish enough to put that price on an internet ad. Believe it or not, I think that it's the same dealership that is trying to get $399 a month for the lease.

I bought mine last week for just under $19k. It's an '06 that was also supposively driven by some Chrysler exec. The car had 876 miles on it. I can't complain about the price for a nearly brand new car with 31 months left on the bumper-to-bumper and the lifetime power train warranty.

I'm sure the original sticker for it was around $40k or so. I really didn't hagle on the price with the dealer. I figured I was getting one of hell of a deal and just wanted to buy it and get out of there before someone else did.
