Anyone had the headlight replaced?
I bought my car to the dealer to fix the foggy headlights last month. They put on some new caps and vents. 4 weeks later, the fog still there, so I bought it back to the dealer again, hoping to get a new headlight replacement. However I'm disappointed. The dealer said it takes time for the fog to go away. I told them it has been 4 weeks already, but they said I have to wait longer and told me to come back next month if still foggy.
Does anyone know how long I have to wait after the new caps and vents fix, for chrysler to approve further fix or replacement?

They Are Telling You Bullshit.....
Fog In Headlamps Is Caused By Condensation And If The Problem Has Not Been Fix The First Time By Replacing Headlamps, It Is Because The Replacement Headlamps Are Defective Too.
You Cannot Fix The Problems On Headlamps You Change Them Only Because Somewhere Around The Headlamp The Seal Is Broken And Water Is Coming In.
Go Back To The Dealer And Ask For Replacement And Nothing Else, Some Places Will Tell You That You Can Drill A Hole Underneath To Let The Air Come In. It Will Work But You Do Not Drive A 5000.00$ Car Right?

I don't think it's fog at all - I think the plastic loses somehow it's transparancy and that it was a manufacturing defect. Mine was having the same issue and, the week before the bumper to bumper warranty expired, I decided I had to act. One headlight was pretty bad and they ordered a new one on the spot. The other was only fairly bad and they installed a vent kit. They said that they could order a new headlight in a week or two if it was still foggy. Their warranty procedure for that issue required that they do the kit and wait a week or two.
Luckily, the weather got freezing a couple of days after that and the headlight with the vent kit filled up with ice. Hurrah! I drove to the dealer on the last day of my warranty, they ordered me a new headlight for the other side. Unfortunately I had to put the car into storage on that day so the new headlight is sitting in a box in the basement. Still, I'll have it replaced as soon as the car comes out of storage. The nice, clear headlights make a big difference. Make sure they replace them - if they won't, find another dealer.

When I purchased the car one of my headlights was experiencing condensation, I took it to the dealer and had a vent kit installed, but that did not remedy the issue, so the second visit I had a new headlight installed and the hazing is gone..
Don't let them bullshit you, be persistent with them, otherwise you won't get what you want.. which is a new headlight.. the "it will go away" is a joke...

Under warranty they have to try the vent kit first, if that does not work then they will replace the headlamps entirely. be aware that you might get headlamps that are defective as a replacement, and thenthey will have to be replaced again.

There is a good chance that there are still a few "NEW" defective headlamps out there.

I've had my 07' Coupe for all of 5 hours
I have condensation in my headlights (both of them)
i have to go back to the dealer tomorrow and have them detail it..
and have them replace both of the lights
I'm hoping they'll let me keep the old ones

condensation on a 07 model?
I think the foggy headlight issue only affect the older model, some problems with the material of the plastic. The newer headlight is made with a different material.... and also corrected the vent design...
I'm a little confussed.. can someone correct me if I'm wrong?
