Default window/door rattle noise

I was reading on another thread that there is a common problem with the loose window regulator on the passenger door, which causes a rattle noise to close the door when window is down. I tested mine and found out I have the same problem.

I wonder how many of us have the same problem? and how many get it fixed?

If I don't fix it, will it cause any further problems or damage to the window or other parts in the door?

Almost 100% of the time that is the problem. Its an easy fix for the dealer from what I hear. I have to schedule my appt.

Do you know would it affect the window position or window alligment when they fix this problem? my window is in perfect alligment now and you know how the dealer usually creat more problems as they try to fix a little thing.

Sidez, when I had my window rattle repaired, they messed up my inside door latch too!

Maybe we're related?

Yep!

I didn't figure that one out 'til I was in my garage-35 miles from the 5 star!

Wouldn't you figure the guy who drove the car out and parked it would mention this to the boss?

BUT, in their defense, they bought me breakfast on Saturday AM when I brought it back. At Denny's.

I'll give ya' that. I won't take it back to the place I bought it, but these guys in Columbus, GA (Carl Gregory) treat me right and seem to listen very well. I suppose it helps that I am not a whining prissy jerk that just looks to make a problem. There seem to be quite a few of them just in front of me and just behind me when I show up at the dealership. When I find a problem, they've always apologized and fixed the goof with a smile and a "Sorry Mr. Max!". I guess being an all-around great guy has it's benefits!

However nice the breakfast was, they WOULDN'T pay for the round trip gas it cost me!

Heh, I'm always nice to them. Always! But when I get in my car and their are greasy fingerprints on my shifter, door handle and center console i'm going to get pissed. I mean, how F'ing stupid are you to not even wipe your fingerprints off???

Also, if you tell me that I'm getting free tires for life and have me spend over 3k in oil changes and scheduled maint and then tell me the tires are not available, I'm going to get pissed.

Noticed that mine is rattling when the widow a fully down and close the door. This is happening on my drivers door which would of course be your passenger door in the states.

I get a horrible feeling that my Ford dealer who took over the Chrysler dealer will make a big deal of it.

Wish me luck.
