I have them on my '04. I bought it as an off-of-lease-return last year, and they were already on there, so I @SSume the car was purchased with them.

Never having seen them on another Crossfire, I posed a question about them on this forum and was told by many members that there was no such OEM animal, and they must have been done aftermarket.

Well, not so, thunk I - who would chrome the wheels on their LEASED vehicle? PLUS, I know I saw a factory service bulletin about OEM chromed wheels somewhere - so...

ANYWhoooo, they REALLY make the car a standout, even with the most boring factory color (blue saphire ho-hum). I have seen just a couple of other Crossfires in my neighborhood, but NOBODY has the OEM chrome wheels. Neat-o during the daytime, they just POP at night under the lights.

The DOWNSIDE is, curb rash will break your heart... Already had some when I got it, and I'm pretty sure I added a ding or two myself this year. It's the best argument I can think of for NOT rotating my tires. What for, to even out the road rash on those beautiful wheels?

I think it may still have the original Michelin PS-2s on it (38k mileage now), and the left front has developed a VERY sloooooow leak - every couple of months I get low-tire warning light. Don't think it's an issue with the rims, because it's always just that one tire.

So, I think new tires are in the future, and then I can worry about some idiot at Discount Tires mussing my beautiful wheels!

These folks are close by me. I paid them a visit when I was considering their "chrome exchange" program when I purchased my 06' Limited. $730.00 with chrome center caps - exchanged so the Ebay price looks good. Perhaps they would meet or beat that price??

Not sure about shipping or core charges as I would have them do the mounting and balancing.

They do a lot of work with dealers etc..

Very nice!

I think they would really look nice on my Metallic grey pearl coat.

Thanks for the info.

A few dealers had special order chrome OEMs. It was a specialty option for some dealers.

Hey, I think SSB is a very nice color! Elegant and classy!! Easy to keep clean and hide scratches too!

I have a set on my 04 coupe. Bought on ebay about a year ago. They do make the vehicle look great! I have a little curb rash on one wheel. I will say it doesn't look as bad as rash on the non-chromed ones.

This true, but they are not factory chrome. It's very possible the original leaser had them chromed. This is not out of the norm.
The only thing I will caution you about is that if you live in a cold climate area where salt is used on the roads, they will not survive a winter. If that's the case, you need a set of summer wheels. They do look great though.

BTW SSB is my favorite color on the XF.

Yes, my post was a little misleading. I believe some dealers offered them, but the chroming was sourced out by the dealers. A special dealer package. Anyone remember the Don Yenko cars or other dealership specialty cars? Those are more extreme examples, but you get my point!

Default chrome wheel owner...

YES, the TPM works - that's how I know I have a low tire every couple of months.

No road-salt here in southern California!

oh heck...there are alot. If you lived here in Houston there is Tires59.com i believe, they have alot of really nice wheels dirt cheap and offer a 0% financing option. Most of their wheel are 2 grand with tires. Or just google Enkei, Concept One,Autobahn sport rims, Forte, Akuza, Asanti...if you have deep pockets, I am getting Rohana wheels because they are concave wheels. Concave curve from the face of the wheel into the mounting area, convex curves from the center of the wheel outwards , that gives you the deep lip look if thats what your after.

Hmm I would have posted in the Wheels section Wheels, Brakes, Tires and Suspension - CrossfireForum.org after doing a little research first. Buying Tyers for the crossfire can be tricky business man. Especially getting what you want. Not every company makes Rims in the correct offset for crossfires, and then Wheels, Brakes, Tires and Suspension - CrossfireForum.org those getting companies to sell offset sizes and get them right without spacers and **** is another thing. The original response has good products if you want the originals Chromed. ( I did like them). I have always run Chromed rims on my Black beauty, and always will. Mandrus makes OEM fit rims, and Chromes them. I have used both Mannheim and Millenniums from them, but the product is delicate and finicky, and I wont buy from them again.
