Window Tints
I want to put tints on my 04' coupe and i had a few questions first. What tint levels have people put on, and has anyone tried darker on the back window than on the side windows? also how much have people paid to have their tints put on?
I just got quoted 189$ by my local installer to do everything except the windshield..
Sidez paid 330$ for his! prices can vary..
I believe that you do not need that dark of a tint because of how small the windows are, even 50% or 35% will look a lot darker then it really is.. at least that is what i'm told..

Just be careful you adhere to your state laws regarding tint. Around here the make you strip it if its too dark. I even know a cop who was told his was too dark, remove it. I'd hate to see someone spend the prices I'm seeing on this thread only to be told to remove it.

State tint laws CLICK HERE.
I disregarded the Illinois laws and took a chance.
Medium tint on doors , Limo black out tint on little sides and rear hatch.
In Illinois tint is banned on doors on all 2 door models. I have been OK with the past two cars by using medium on the doors.

I had 15% Lumar installed all the way around for $125 with a lifetime warranty. (no pics online, yet.) It provides enough shade to make driving comfortable during the day, but at night it does affect my ability to determine rearview mirror distances slightly.
Check your local ordinances.
One good thing to know: Lawsuits here in Oklahoma have demonstrated that there is no reliable way for a police officer to check your tint.
EDITED: The police can not determine what % you are using, but don't try to deny having tint alltogether.
