Scratch & Dings from dealer
Got my car back from the dealer, they changed the seat belt buckle and the speaker behind the seat. However I found a few scratch (2 inches long) and a few dings at the door sill? (don't know what that area called, it is on the side of the body where we only see it when the door is open). Looks like from the tools they used. Sorry the attached picture wasn't clean, it was taken at night.
The manager is gone already, so I talked to one of the staff, I'm going to bring the car back tomorrow so they will see what they can do. I guess they will offer me a paint job on that area, but should I let them to re paint that area? Or should I do it myself with some touch up paint kit? I don't know if the dealer will mess up more stuff as usual.

Does anyone know how much it cost to paint the door jamb? Maybe see if I can get a check from the dealer and get it done somewhere else.

Interesting. I had just had my daughters SRT painted. I took it to the dealer for some routine maintenence. They scratched the front bumper by parking it up against a wall and when they went to put it on the lift they scratched the rocker covers just behind the front tires.
If its not one thing its another. The dealers are their own worst enemy.

I visited two body shop this morning for the estimation to fix and repaint that area. They quoted me $140 and $400.
I will let the dealer to fix it next monday. keep my fingers crossed.

Finally a job done by the dealer that I am satified. My car was in the dealer for 3 days, they painted the door jamb nicely, I cannot even tell it is a new paint. Plus free car wash and detail.
Dealer scratched the front bumper of mine and they fixed it no questions asked, ok well maybe it took a little coaxing on my part (but I think they knew they damaged it because it was way too easy).
Good news was since I bought my car preowned the bottom of the bumper had some rock chips on it and this took care of that problem. I then decided that this was a good opportunity to have the clear bra installed since the bumper looked like new.
I've seen 5 start Chrysler dealers lose their 5 star ratings because of complaints so perhaps they did not want a problem.

I wonder if dealers are becoming more responsive because Chrysler's trying to pare their numbers. Perhaps those with better service ratings are more likely to survive.
