i think the difference people are experiencing, i believe, could be due to the fact of when you consider your spoiler "up" some of you are saying 68, others 65, etc. well in actuality it is considered to be "up" as soon as the sensor is tripped, not once it reaches its upright and locked position... keep that in mind...

I think the question still remains, what tells the wing to deploy and retrack ?

I always thought it was a speed sensor related to the speedometer. However, last week i went through one of those touchless carwashes that blows the car dry with a big fan at the end. When the fan passed over the rear of the car, the spoiler came up automatically. Is it an airspeed sensor close to the spoiler, or just a fluke?

I am experiencing a similar problem on my 05 coupe. The spoiler works when I manually operate it with the button, but the spoiler does not rise automatically when on high speed
