How long does the factory filter last?
Just keep checking the air filter once in a while, if it is dirty replace it, if it still looks good then go ahead and keep it in there. That is how I tend to do it on my Camaro.
My Limited I just bought has 23,000 on it. The filters were still fairly good but I changed them out to start out fresh. Typically a filter like that should last 30,000 with no trouble. Having two filters in the Crossfire may increase that mileage somewhat. I bought mine at NAPA, they were the German made MANN filter printed right on them.

I changed mine at 27k and replaced with K&N. They were a little dirty but not bad. I took a 2000 mile trip right afterwards and my mileage seemed a little better. No noticeable performance improvement. If you go K&N, make sure you drain off any excess oil before installing because on other cars (like my Audi) it is know to mess up the MAF and cause expensive problems. Mass Airflow Sensor.
Google crossfire and "K&N" and you'll find lots of sellers.

I just took them out and cleaned them off. MAN were they dirty! Tons of dirt came flying out of that filter! Bugs, leaves, etc... I definitely need to replace them when she gets back from her trip!
