First Post Guys, join in my journey of hope !
Hi All,
Well This could be an interesting journey for me and I hope you may all help me along the way...........
Ok here we go,
Had a crossfire whilst i was living the UK , I now find myself living in Thailand and by christ do i miss my motor!
After all be it limited insight into the possability of purchasing a xfire here i find to my surprise that ( wait for it ) there is not one ( Yes i mean not a SINGLE Crossfire registered in Thailand !!!!!!! ).
Have spoken to the chrysler dealers ( and merc ) both here and in Malaysia and there about as usefull as a nun in a brothel.
Has anyone Any knowledge of the possabilities of importing one ? And also servicing afterwards ?
I may point out that i am aware that Thailand has an import duty of approx 250% of the cars value , unfortunatley this is on "perceived value" and not actual purchase cost, and if any of you guys have spent anytime here that can mean alot more than that.
Keep this short and hopefully can pick up on any replies from you guys, where do i start ??
Looked in the Asia forum but the last post there was months ago , so maybe you guys can help me bring the first crossfire into Thailand ????
Looking forward to your input guys .......
Many Thanks

I know of 3 RHD Crossfires in Singapore.
They were crazy expensive due to Singapore's auto taxes and the fact that they're rare good looking cars.
In 2004, the '04 was being sold for SGD200k+.
So I would check with the Singapore Chrysler dealer and see what they can do for you since they already have those cars on the road there.

It was almost worth it.
Well so far ive found out it will cost a minimum of 250% import duty on purchase price !
so if i spend 20,000 us the duty will be 50,000us giving a total of 70,000us for a 20,000 motor !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Still i'm not giving up yet
God i really must miss this damn car !
next issue pointed out to me was servicing . You guys kow if a mercedes garage could handle the servicing of a crossfire ?
