Default Power Window Prolem

Both power window "auto down" only works when it wants to. I can't find a comon reason for them to work one time and not another. Anyone have a fix?

Remove the center console and blow out the window key pads. If liquid or moisture got inside the console it can cause the window key pads to muck up. If that's not the problem then check the wiring for the windows.....a wire might be pinched.

Are you pushing the switch all the way down till you fell a click? If you are and they don't work it sounds like a bad switch.

Switched are clean and dry. The auto down feature may not work one timie and then they just start working and it may be days before it does it again.

I have the same problem with my Roadster. Individual window switches work fine. Top up/down switch when double-clicked only works sometimes to lower both windows together. I have not taken it to the dealer yet...but I have to believe it is a bad switch.

My windows will not go "auto down" they travel some and just stop. You push the window switch all the way again and it does the same thing. Then on another occasion they work correctly. It's got me puzzeled.

The auto down feature has never worked on my '05 roadster. I just hold the switch down....is it that big of a deal?

You're right it's not a big deal. Thats one of the reasons I haven't taken it to the shop for repair. The other reason is it's intermitent and the shop (dealer) probally can't fix it if it's not doing at the time it's in the shop. The dealer in my area doesn't have Crossfire educated staff so what's the odds of getting a fix?
