For about a month now every time the spoiler goes up it has an annoying squeek. Several in fact. I lubed the top with a good penetrating lubricant [Gig-a-loo] at all the right spots, but it still squeeked. Still frustated with the noise, I pulled off the lower hatch panel and took a look inside. There are gears and a long rod that rotates when the wing is activated. Gave the gears and rod a good coating of lube and NO MORE NOISE!! In fact it works like new. To pull the lower panel, take out the screw where the inside handle is to shut the hatch. Now pry the cover off. The cover is stuck on pretty tight so don't be afraid to apply some pressure. Hope this helps you guys that don't want to take it to the dealer.
