Hey guys have not posted in awhile just been in the car having fun. Couple of problems.

I have a 2004 coupe limited. 36,000 miles. Noticed a few drops of oil in the driveway about the size of a nickle. Would that be transmission fluid coming from that location closes to the from part of car.

And i too have the loud trans pitch at 70-85mph But should the transmission make a churning sound or low level humming sound when I'm not accelerating coming to a stop sign or stop light. Just concerned.

Atlanta area has bad traffic but on days when the traffics clear i clean off the spark plugs but would that type of acceleration cause the gasket to loosen or leak. Sorry about the scattered post but hope the Forum Dr's can help thanks

 

you have not been specific about the color of the liquid or if you have a man or auto trans.
however, i have recently experienced a light red fluid puddle under my auto . went to the dealer. there is a coupling problem at the transmission. if you have this leak, it might explain your noise.

Oh! it's an Automatic however I did not see any color and the oil seemed clear and did not have a strong smell but I will have to check Monday during the day and reply back. Just want to get to the bottom of it and repair it before it gets wosrse

 

Sounds like tranny fluid to me. There is a TSB on repairing the Transmission wire harness connector o-ring.

 

Wet and cold in Atlanta, will check thoroughly when earth drys.
