toughest tire on potholes?
Goodyear F1 All Season's.
I only say that because a couple of times I have hit potholes that sounded and felt like I was going to leave half the suspension behind me! I did the normal routine......pull over fast because you just KNOW you're gonna have a flat tire and busted wheel. Major astonishment when I found no damage whatsoever!
BTW.....Here in Michigan......we are masters of cultivating potholes!

I've had Michelin, Continentals and Goodyear F1's, all were all seasons and the Goodyear F1's handled the holes the best. They have a amazingly strong and resiliant carbon fiber sidewall that's even problematic when mounting.
Yeah the Contis SUCK!!!
I tried my limited for the first time last winter(when I had it) and I had 3 cracked rims.
I didn't hit anything major except once.
I've heard all good things about the F1's

ALSO, I'VE HEARD OTHER WEBSITES SAY THE RIGIDITY OF THE F1'S MIGHT MAKE A RIM 'MORE' SUSCEPTIBLE TO BENDING BECAUSE THE SOFT SIDEWALL WON'T ABSORB THE BLOW.... ANY INPUT ON THIS?
THANKS FOR THE REPLIES!
When a wheel gets cracked/bent, it due to the tire compressing to the point that there's nothing left to compress and the wheel takes the hit. Using carbon fiber in the sidewalls of the F1's, not only does it help with the handling, it also adds a strong resistance to being crushed by a sharp edge of concrete.
I have F1 D3 GS tires, they have built in rim protectors, as did the stock Contis that came off the car, but if that hole is deep and sharp edged, nothing is going to save the rim...you want to save rims, go back to 70's...these tires and rims are for performance, not off roading...there isn't any side wall to speak of on a 30 or 35...so pot holes, curbs, even rolled curbs are a no no.....noooo
J-Fire, you heard wrong...I worked those puppies to death at the Dragon...the hotter the better....the F1 D3s are summer tires only and sticky...
