Need a New Dealer in the Miami Area
No....not that kind of dealer.
I took my XF to Potamkin Chrysler this morning. I was the very first one there. They open at 7:30am and I was there by 7:15am. The service manager walks up to me at 7:30am and I start telling him what I need replaced. I took it in for the loose cap on one of the fog lights, condensation on both headlights and the dreaded #8 button on the HU. The guy says he's going to check my warranty and will see what he can do. I purchased the extended warranty Tod was selling so I know it at least covers the HU per the warranty and I knew the lights would be a stretch. Well, 3 hours later the guy comes up to me and says that nothing I wanted done was covered. I decided not to severly hurt him and instead kindly asked for my car back. So, to make a long story short..
can anyone in the Miami area recommend a dealer that may be able to get my parts replaced?
Sorry for the rant but I feel better now.
Thanks...

Hate to tell you this but IMO Potamkin is actually one of the better places to take your xfire. Planet Chrysler is a nightmare.....real nightmare....stay away. Havent used Tamiami.
A little further than you guys but stay away from ARRIGO Dodge in West Palm Beach. Dumbasses....I call to cerify this black coupe is available for a test drive, manager says to come on in. I get there, wait while 9-10 employees sit around talking about the future of Chrysler, finally I tell someone to grab the keys for the X-fire, we're going. Five minutes later I'm told they lost the keys, sorry.
I sent them a followup email that I was interested in the car but never heard back. This was a week ago. Doesn't seem Chrysler is trying very hard!
If I didn't love the X-fire so much and fully intend to buy one I would've told them to shove it. But I gotta have one....

I hate to say it but in future we can expect there to be less Chrysler dealers all over, with plummeting sales only the dealers with strong financial backing will survive. These will in most cases be the ones that are part of
larger companies that own multiple dealerships, not just Chrysler
dealerships. The little Chrysler lots will be gone, so there will be less of a choice and they will be looking to save every dollar, I think service will decline as a result.
A local dealership here has sold only one car in the first two weeks of this month, they lost their Five Star rating as well, I would say they are toast.
Whats Lee Iacocca doing these days?

Whatever you do, stay away from Hollywood Chrysler!!! Complete morons, and then they lie to you to cover up the fact they don't have a clue about maintenance of our cars.
